Sevenly: Changing The World One Shirt At A Time…

I like to think that my love and obsession with fashion is quite obvious. However, nothing brings me as much JOY as being able to share information about fashion companies that are improving our world and the lives of others, by raising funds and awareness, literally one t-shirt at a time

Launched in 2011, Sevenly, an online fashion brand, partners with a new charity each week, promoting and selling limited edition graphic tees and other lifestyle products to benefit those in need.

[Sevenly 3 notebook kit - $20]

This particular week Sevenly is supporting the Love Without Boundaries Foundation, a worldwide group of volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of orphaned and impoverished children in China where thousands of babies are being abandoned because of serious birth defects and or life-threatening medical conditions. Unfortunately without love, care, and the proper medical attention, the chances of these children being adopted vary from slim to none.

[Give Collection I See Stripes Flowy Tank Top - $30]

[Wreath Flowy Tank -$28]

Love Without Boundaries cares for these children by providing reconstructive surgeries. Every purchase helps fund a surgery for a child in need. Sevenly simplifies giving back, by giving you the opportunity to both improve your wardrobe and the lives of others. They have already raised over 2.1 million dollars to date.

A few of my favorites pieces are pictured both above and below. The Give Collection hoodieand the Give Collection I See Stripes Flowy tank are great wardrobe basics; and the Giving Keys necklace, the Wreath Flowy tank and the Be The Answer crew will all add a little bit of edge to your street style

[Be The Answer Crew - $24]

So please adopt Sevenly's philosophy of “people matter,” check out their website and make a purchase. Your purchase helps an orphaned child receive surgery and find a permanent homeThank you.

Caroline Trentini’s Olivier Theyskens Wedding Gown [VOGUE].
This morning I tweeted about the glorious May issue of @voguemagazine and here is a quick snapshot of my reasoning.
Glamour girl and fashion model, Caroline Trentini (24), was recently married in Brazil in an Olivier Theyskens design. Her gown seems to be heavily influenced by the McQueen Sarah Burton creation for the Duchess of Cambridge, which in turn was heavily influenced by Hollywood goddess turned Princess, Grace Kelly's wedding gown.
It’s absolutely fascinating to see all the small influences and the entirely original nuances. Caroline Trentini looked simply breathtaking- and I’m sure her husband would agree. Our most sincere congratulations! Xoxo

Enjoy this behind the scenes look at VERA WANG BRIDAL.

Watch interviews with the show’s makeup artists and Vera Wang herself.

This collection is precisely why I will never want to be married in anything other than VERA WANG. I love the drama, the glamour, the desire, the romance- for me these gowns encompass all the elements I associate with everlasting love.

The Royal Wedding: William and Kate…

For those of you that did not eagerly watch the royal wedding celebrations that begun at 1 a.m. pacific time then here is everything you’ll want to know!

Earlier today it was indeed confirmed that the lovely Catherine Middleton, affectionately known as Kate and now Duchess of Cambridge, wore a dress by designer Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

"It has been the experience of a lifetime to work with Catherine Middleton to create her wedding dress and I have enjoyed every moment of it. It was such an incredible honour to be asked, and I am so proud of what we and the Alexander McQueen team have created,” the designer was quoted saying.

The dress was made of entirely British fabrics and put together by British companies. It included English and French Chantilly lace, which served as a lace applique of hand-cut flowers on the bodice. The skirt was made of ivory and white satin gazar by the Royal School of Needlework and the underskirt made of silk tulle trimmed with Cluny lace. The McQueen gown was accented with 58 gazar and organza covered buttons fastened by Rouleau loops. The Duchess also wore hand-made McQueen shoes made of ivory duchesse (how very fitting) satin with lace hand-embroidered again by the Royal School of Needlework. Kate's silk tulle veil was held in place by a vintage Cartier tiara, lent to bride by the Queen. It was the same tiara that Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon later known as the Oueen Mother wore on her wedding day to Prince Albertwho later became King George VI.

As for the groom, the Duke of Cambridge formerly known as the Prince of Wales, wore a red Colonel of the Irish Guards uniform created by Kashket & Partners, which was accented with a blue sash.

The ceremony held at Westminster Abbey was infused with love and solemnity and the address by the Bishop of London will, I’m sure, become legendary. It was perfection and took to heart the sentiments of the couple for one another as well as the sentiments of the people for the couple. Diana, Princess of Wales was sorely missed but ever present throughout the ceremony.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
