Sevenly: Changing The World One Shirt At A Time…

I like to think that my love and obsession with fashion is quite obvious. However, nothing brings me as much JOY as being able to share information about fashion companies that are improving our world and the lives of others, by raising funds and awareness, literally one t-shirt at a time. 

Launched in 2011, Sevenly, an online fashion brand, partners with a new charity each week, promoting and selling limited edition graphic tees and other lifestyle products to benefit those in need.

This particular week Sevenly is supporting the Love Without Boundaries Foundation, a worldwide group of volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of orphaned and impoverished children in China where thousands of babies are being abandoned because of serious birth defects and or life-threatening medical conditions. Unfortunately without love, care, and the proper medical attention, the chances of these children being adopted vary from slim to none.

Love Without Boundaries cares for these children by providing reconstructive surgeries. Every purchase helps fund a surgery for a child in need. I really loved starlet Shailene Woodley’s outfit at the @VanityFair and @Juicy_Couture “Vanities” 20th Anniversary Party last night at the Siren Studios in Hollywood. It was very chic and sophisticated for a young woman and yet very playful. The bash benefits her All It Takes charity, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals to create sustainable and positive change both locally and internationally.

Project Angel Food’s Divine Design 2010.

Project Angel Food will host Divine Design 2010, the west coast’s premiere shopping event in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hills marketplace. All donations and purchases will directly fund Project Angel Food.

Project Angel Food is currently the only organization of its kind. It delivers free and healthy meals throughout L.A. county to men, women and children crippled by life-threatening diseases such as AIDS and cancer. Every week Project Angel Food cooks and delivers more than 13,000 meals to people in need. 

The event will feature brands such as 3.1 Phillip Lim, 7 For All Mankind,  C&C California, Diane Von Furstenberg, Elizabeth and James, Hanky Panky, Marc Jacobs, Monique L’Huillier, Stuart Weitzman, Theory, Tom Ford and True Religion. Ferragamo Launches Ferragamo World, Proceeds To Benefit The Acumen Fund.

The Fifth Avenue Ferragamo store in NYC recently celebrated the launch of Ferragamo World, a bio-friendly shoe line for men, with an intimate cocktail hour hosted by Vanity Fair. All proceeds will go to South Asia and East Africa via the Acumen Fund. The non-profit global venture invests in businesses that provide essential services to low-income families.

A few days ago, I posted a few released images of Jennifer Lopez and her twins posing for Gucci. Now you can take a behind the scenes look at the photo shoot that will launch Gucci’s new children’s line. Creative director Frida Giannini and Jennifer Lopez also discuss Gucci’s major donation to UNICEF. Gucci has been involved with the UNICEF since 2005, but the new $1 million donation will go to education programs in Malawi and Mozambique specifically.
